Moseley Tennis Club
The friendliest tennis club in Birmingham, you’re guaranteed a warm welcome at Moseley Tennis Club.
Our excellent courts are set in beautiful grounds within walking distance of Moseley Village and Kings Heath, and just a few miles from Birmingham city centre. With more than 300 members, we pride ourselves on our community atmosphere. We welcome players of any age and ability, with a full programme of social and competitive tennis, as well as a first class coaching provision.
So, whether you’re starting from scratch, picking up a racket again after a break, or looking for competitive team tennis, we are the club for you!
Coaching
We’re proud to work with PriceBrazier Tennis (PB Tennis). PriceBrazier Tennis is run and coordinated by Joshua Price (winner of 2022 Development Coach of the year for Warwickshire) & Ryan Brazier (Loyal, experienced Moseley Coach of 8+ years). PB Tennis is happy to offer all players, both members & non-members, a wide range of coaching options for all ages and abilities.
We have a very strong junior program which incorporates those from every ability level and we ensure that all juniors are in suitable and appropriate groups for their own personal development. Adults can benefit from our pathway of coaching. From beginner to beginners plus to Improver coaching sessions, we provide a great way to help players improve their game at all levels. 1:1 junior & adult sessions are available too. Please do feel free to get in touch with us now!
Social Tennis
We’re well known for our fun and friendly social tennis sessions, where dozens of people come together for a game, a cup of tea and a slice of cake. Tennis is a brilliant way to meet new people, and our Wednesday and Saturday afternoon social tennis is the perfect place to start. Our online booking system means it’s also easy to organise your own matches. Off the court, we’ve got a fantastic social side to the club, with regular events like curry nights, fireworks and Christmas parties.
Club Competitions
If you’re interested in competitive tennis, we enter teams into the Birmingham Area and Metropolitan leagues every year for men’s, ladies and mixed doubles competitions. We also have our hugely popular Club Championships each summer, and a number of fun tournaments throughout the year.
If you’re new to the club, there are opportunities to try out for our league teams each winter, with plenty of opportunities to play.
Our Membership Benefits
Our range of membership options offer fantastic value for money, with options to suit everyone. You can pay monthly or annually, with discounts for juniors, families, or those in receipt of Universal Credit. All memberships include access to floodlights, which many clubs charge an additional fee for.
Find the membership that suits you below:
Your membership gives you access to eight all weather courts, four synthetic clay and four hard. Six of our courts are floodlit for year-round play.
Our synthetic clay courts are popular with members and visitors because they respond so well to cold and wet weather all year round, while our four hard courts have recently been repainted.
MTC’s facilities are accessible to wheelchair users and we have 2 courts that enable wheelchair tennis.
Members are welcome to bring guests to play at the club for a small fee.
Equipment & Clothing Discounts
Members can benefit from discounts on tennis clothing and equipment at the long established Maurice Robinson Sports in Birmingham.
If you need to wake up, warm up or just want to have a hot drink after your match, we provide free tea and coffee as part of your membership, available from the clubhouse kitchen.
You can also purchase snacks, alcoholic and soft drinks from our clubhouse bar.
Our social tennis sessions are the backbone of our club.
Each Wednesday and Saturday from 1-4pm, dozens of players come together to enjoy some relaxed tennis and catch up over a cup of tea and a slice of cake. If you’re new to the club, it’s a great place to start; you’ll soon understand why we’re Birmingham’s friendliest tennis club!

What Our Members Have to Say
“Friendly and welcoming club in the heart of Moseley, offering excellent clay courts, flexible coaching options and floodlights.”
Louise P – member since 2020
“I love playing at MTC because there is a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. There are numerous opportunities to play social tennis with people of a range of ability levels and a high level of tolerance from other players who are better players than me!”
Jane C. – Member since 1990
“This is a super club with excellent courts, most of which are floodlit meaning we can play all year. They also drain well in rain so can be used in all but the worst weather. That’s an important consideration if you work and most play is weekends or evening Do Join.”
Rachel – member since 2018
“I have enjoyed playing come rain or shine and even the odd snowshower! It’s a great club for social and competitive tennis. A great way to keep fit and to make new friends away from work. A very inclusive club, all ages and abilities can find a home to enjoy this great game.

“I enjoy the social tennis as there are always different people to play and the cakes on Saturday are delicious.
I also try and attend the one day tournaments. The champagne one at the beginning of the season is my favourite.”
